Hollie Raynor, professor of nutrition and associate dean of research in the UT College of Education, Health, and Human Sciences, will present “Childhood Obesity and Treatment: Translating Research into Practice,” Friday, September 11 via Zoom.
Research forms the basis of evidence-based guidelines that are used by many health professions to improve health, yet often this research is not conducted in a way that translates well into practice. In her presentation, Raynor will review the challenges of translation in the area of childhood obesity treatment and provide a real-world example of translation into a federally qualified health center in East Tennessee – Cherokee Health Systems.
The UT Science Forum takes place via Zoom Friday, Sept. 11 from noon to 1 p.m. Registration is required. Once registered, you will receive a link to join the Zoom presentation.
