The Silence of the Allosaurs: Cannibalism Among Late Jurassic Dinosaurs, Sept. 25

feature imageStephanie Drumheller-Horton, lecturer in the UT Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences, will present “The Silence of the Allosaurs: Cannibalism Among Late Jurassic Dinosaurs,” Friday, September 25 via Zoom.

When a rare opportunity to collect dinosaur fossils in bulk from the Mygatt-Moore Quarry in Colorado presented itself, scientists uncovered a wealth of bones with unexpected injuries and damage patterns. These traces provided new insights into how these Jurassic giants lived, died, and decomposed.

The UT Science Forum takes place via Zoom Friday, Sept. 25 from noon to 1 p.m. Registration is required. Once registered, you will receive a link to join the Zoom presentation.
