Floating Treatment Wetlands: Nature-Driven Options for Cleaner Water

feature-imageMichael Ross, assistant professor of plant sciences at the UT Institute of Agriculture, will present “Floating Treatment of Wetlands: Nature-driven options for cleaner water” Friday, Sept. 24 at noon via Zoom.

As our urban environments continue to spread and land use intensifies, the need for ecologically based regenerative design interventions is crucial. In his presentation, Professor Ross will discuss one such intervention, the floating treatment wetland. It is a simple, low-cost option to help provide ecosystem services, biodiversity, habitat, and aesthetics while also playing a role in cleaning urban waterways.

The event is free and open to the public, but registration is required.

Register today for the Sept. 24 lecture.
