Theresa M. Lee, dean of the UT College of Arts and Sciences and professor of psychology, along with Leticia Flores, director of UT’s Psychological Clinic, will present “The Transgender Experience” Friday, November 19 at noon via Zoom.
Issues of transgender identity and civil rights for transgender people have made headlines for the past several years. In this presentation, parallels of the transgender experience will be drawn from years of research and observation. Lee will share her research on social behaviors of animals and how other animals in their social environment interact with them based on their genders. Flores will share her research and observations of the human experience and how transgender individuals are influenced by and respond to their world.
The lecture is free and open to the public, but registration is required.
This is the final lecture for the fall 2021 semester. Please check our website for updates on the spring 2022 semester lecture series.
